The Himalayas

Himalaya

The Himalayas is an abode of snow in the Sanskrit, king of mountains, white, crystal, ice froze different shapes and sizes of rocks above the snow line. The young with the greatest mountain system on the planet, the Himalayas in Asia extend 2400 km across India, Pakistan, Bhutan, China and Nepal. In the theory of plate tectonics, some 180 million years ago, seven continents combined in the supercontinent (Gondwanaland). Once, the Tethys Sea was between Siberia and Gondwanaland. Sediments of the rivers between Siberia and Gondwanaland pushed into the north and formed the Himalayas, Mahabharata, and Siwalik Hill. Fossils are oceanic sediments found in the Kali Gandaki River in Nepal. The vast ocean, the Tethys Sea, separated the present continents. It spread to China, Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Pakistan. The major rivers, Indus, Ganges, and Tsangpo-Brahmaputra, originated from the Himalayas, the youngest mountain range on the planet.

The Greater Himalayas (4500 m-8848 m) are 2400 km (1491 miles) and extend from Indus Valley to River Brahmaputra. Nepal's Himalayan Region (885 km length) to the north is covered by snow in four seasons (six per cent land) south of Tibet (China). Fifteen Himalayan ranges in Nepal listed Kanchenjunga (1), Janak Himal (2), Kumbha Karna (3), Mahalangur (4), Rolwaling (5), Jugal (6), Langtang (7), Ganesh (8), Gorkha (9), Annapurna (10), Damodar (11), Dhaulagiri (12), Nilgiri (13), Kanjiroba (14), Saipal and Byas Rishi Himal (15). The Border Himalayas (6000 m-7000 m) spread 30-45 km between the Trishuli River and Karnali River within the China and Nepal border. They are Nala Kanka, Changla, Gorkha Himal, the north part of the Mustang and Damodar Himal. The Inner Himalayas (2400 m - 5000 m) are also called high Mountain Valleys (Bhote Valley), Trans-Himalaya. Rainshadow areas acknowledged Dolpa, Mugu, Manang, Mustang and northern Darchula. Lesser Himalaya ranges from 2000 m to 4500 m. Sub-divisions of the Hilly region are Mahabharat Lekh (1524 m-3048 m) and Spurs, Tar or Middle Valley (300 m-2000 m).
